A new video showing the highlights from NuGen’s Bright Sparks Launch Event has gone live on the company’s YouTube Channel (click here to watch the Bright Sparks Launch Event video).
The event, held at Energus in West Cumbria, hosted 200 pupils from schools close to the Moorside site who came along to discover how electricity is made, how we use it and to find out about the opportunities for a career in the electricity generation industry.
Science presenter, Ross Exton, joined the Bright Sparks team to perform a series of experiments – helped by students from St Benedicts and Whitehaven Academy in Whitehaven, and from Millom School – bringing the science of electricity generation to life.
John Male, NuGen’s Head of Training and Qualifications, said: “The Bright Sparks Launch was an excellent start to a year of events and activities with these local schools -the level of excitement, engagement and positivity for the initiative was fantastic.”
