NuGen this week announced sponsorship for two key Cumbrian community and business initiatives.
The company, working to develop Moorside, the UK’s largest planned new nuclear power station to the north and west of the Sellafield site, announced support for the CN Newspaper Group’s annual Business Awards – and the Lillyhall-based Centre for Leadership Performance’s Dream Placements scheme.
NuGen will be sponsoring both for the first time – and the company is delighted to become involved with well-established Cumbrian initiatives.
NuGen will sponsor the Training and Development category in the Business awards, which recognise the commitment, drive and excellence of the Cumbrian business community.
The Centre for Leadership Development’s Dream Placements scheme gives bright young students in the region opportunity to work with Cumbria’s leading companies – and NuGen will host local students for week-long placements in its Moorside Information Centre in Whitehaven, and will include a trip to the company’s headquarters in Piccadilly, Manchester.
John McNamara, NuGen’s Head of Corporate Communications said: “We are delighted to be working with the excellent people at CN Group and The Centre of Leadership Development. These are great opportunities for us to support community initiatives, and we’re really looking forward to getting involved.”
