There is still time to ‘Have Your Say’ about NuGen’s early-stage proposals for the development of Moorside nuclear power station, situated just north of the existing Sellafield complex in West Cumbria.
The ten-week consultation on NuGen’s Moorside Project runs until the 25th July, but the final three public consultation events take place this week at:
For the first time, NuGen will be running two events simultaneously at both Sellafield Site and the Moorside Information Centre in Whitehaven.
Fergus McMorrow, NuGen’s planning lead in Cumbria, said: “The reaction we’ve had so far has been tremendous. We’ve had well over 1,500 people come along to our consultation events and exhibition centre, with more using the online portal, and the response has been fantastic.
“People have been supportive of our strategic proposals, but we’ve also had some really useful feedback on particular aspects of our plans which will be essential in helping us develop the Moorside project in the best way for Cumbria.”
The public consultation remains open for another nine days after the last event, so there’s still time for people to return their feedback forms or use the consultation website to ‘Have Your Say’: www.nugenconsultation.com.
