NuGen will be taking part in some key events in Cumbria over the coming days.
The company will be part of the Institute of Directors’ Cumbria@40 celebrations being held at the Rheged Centre at Penrith. The event is a celebratory look at the past 40 years – and a look ahead to Cumbria’s future. NuGen Technical Head Claude Bernard will make a speech at the event on NuGen’s Moorside project, and the importance of Cumbria to the UK’s nuclear industry.
NuGen will also be attending Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster’s AGM and networking event at Hunday Manor.
NuGen are set to play a prominent role at the National Grid’s Stakeholder Reference Group meeting in Kendal in early April. At the event the National Grid will brief stakeholders on progress with the North West Coast Connections project, which aims to provide a major North-South grid connection of national significance, connecting NuGen’s Moorside project to the grid, and helping attract other generators, including offshore wind farms to invest in the region.
