NuGen has announced the addition of two new dates to its programme of public exhibition events about the Moorside Project, which aims to build a new nuclear power station on land near Sellafield in West Cumbria.
The new events - at Braystones from 9.30-12.30pm on Saturday 11th July and Whitehaven from 11am-7.30pm on Thursday 16th July – have been added by public request and NuGen hopes that this will add to the fantastic response it has already had so far at venues across West Cumbria.
The Braystones event, to be held at the Tarnside Caravan Park, will provide further opportunity for those living closest to the proposed site to talk to the project team, ask questions and provide comments which will help NuGen develop the Moorside Project in the best way for West Cumbria.
The Whitehaven event will see NuGen’s project team return to the Civic Hall to hold the final public exhibition. The Moorside Information Centre was the venue for the very first public exhibition in May, and has been open daily ever since for members of the public to drop in to find out more.
Dates for all the public exhibitions, along with the documents and materials for the consultation are available at www.nugenconsultation.com where you can also ask questions and register comments.
The Moorside Information Centre will remain open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday throughout the year and between 10am and 12pm on Saturdays until 25th July 2015.
