On Thursday evening in Manchester, NuGen once again sponsored the prestigious UK Nuclear Skills Awards hosted by the National Skills Academy for Nuclear (NSAN) and Cogent Skills.
Representing NuGen and opening up the event, Talent Management Director, Adam Ellis paid tribute to NSAN, which recently celebrated its 10th year. He then welcomed the opening of the two hubs of the National College for Nuclear, and outlined the importance of skills development in the industry for the Moorside Project.
The event went on to award graduates and apprentices from a wide range of nuclear industry organisations for excellence in their chosen field, for which NuGen ’s Head of Training and Qualifications, John Male was part of the judging panel. Sponsorship of the awards is just a part of NuGen’s developing relationship with skills organisations and industry peer organisations, which will continue grow in importance.
