NuGen has announced a partnership with the Nuclear Institute (NI) to launch a company membership scheme.
The partnership will open an agreement with the NI, where NuGen employees will join as associate members and will have access to the full range of member benefits. NuGen will also support staff who want to work towards attaining full professional membership of the institute.
NuGen CEO, Tom Samson, welcomed the announcement which was made during a Business Briefing at the company’s Manchester offices. Tom said: “NuGen is a growing nuclear company – developing a nuclear culture and a highly skilled organisation is an extremely important part of that journey.
“Membership of the NI is a fantastic resource, offering NuGen staff access to training and networking opportunities to enhance their knowledge, develop their skills and their career.”
To underline NuGen’s commitment to its new relationship with the Nuclear Institute, the company has been announced as main sponsor of the UK Women in Nuclear (WiN)- Conference, being held in London in February 2017, where CEO Tom Samson will be a headline speaker. NuGen’s recruitment drive at its Manchester city centre offices and in West Cumbria has been bucking the nuclear trend with 43% of staff female – and an emphasis on younger graduates entering the industry for the first time.
